Ray's first appearance on TV was when he starred as Anthony Murray in the Liverpool Based soap, Brookside. (2000 - 2003) Since then, he has starred in several TV programmes that include, The Afternoon Play, "John Reilly", (2005) Doctors, "Owen Miller", (2006) He also won several awards, 2002 - Best Dramatic Performance, British Soap Awards 2002 - Best Storyline, British Soap Awards 2002 - Best Young Actor, Inside Soap Awards 2005 - Manchester Talent Competition - £5000 prize He then entered The X Factor in 2006 in which he came 2nd out of 100,000's contestants and was offered a record contract by Simon Cowell. He released his debut album, 'Doing It My Way', on 12/03/2007 and went straight to #1 and went platinum. He then went onto playing the role of 'Doody', in the hit West End musical, Grease. He then went onto playing the part of Aladdin, at the Broadway theatre in Peterborough. In March 2009, Ray was crowned champion of Dancing On Ice! He's now currently coming to the end of Dancing On Ice The Tour 2009 and won 25/29 shows on the Dancing On Ice UK & Ireland tour. He is currently playing the role of Danny Zuko in Grease the musical at the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End.
